Videos give you input, and that is a real head start: listening is the first step of every single day here. The one thing a video cannot hand you is the rep where you say it yourself. I have watched students finish a whole grammar course with every rule in hand, and what they were still owed was the practice of using those rules out loud.

So each day you watch one short story, then you say the pattern out loud into the app and get a score back. Same input a video would give you, plus the reps that turn it into speech.

Yes. We start at the very first pattern, and every story is built so you understand almost all of it from what you see and hear. You do not need any Korean before day one.

You will be speaking your first full sentence on day one, before you have had time to worry about whether you were ready for it. If you want to speak, you’re ready.

Not a problem. I walk you through Hangul from the very beginning, so you can start speaking on day one instead of waiting until you have the letters memorized.

And if reading still feels slow once we are underway, I open a separate Hangul session for whoever wants one, so your reading catches up while the rest of the challenge keeps going.

Yes, and you will be in good company. Many of my students speak Hebrew, Portuguese, German or something else at home, and they all reach Korean through English, exactly as you would. The stories are made to be understood without subtitles, so the meaning arrives through pictures and sound rather than through long explanations in English.

And in the live class, you can always ask me to say it again, slower. Asking twice is welcome here.

Not at all. Most of the weight in this question comes from the people around you, the ones asking whether you are really taking up Korean now. In my classes, older students keep up beautifully. My oldest student is in her seventies and she holds real conversations with me in Korean.

Speed comes from how often you open your mouth, and that is exactly what the daily habit is for. There is no upper limit here. The only line is the lower one: you need to be 16 or older to join.
